This is not the first time I have heard this quote, but I have never really understood it. It seems so childish, so pointless. It sounds like it would be easier to just forget about all of the bitterness and pain and never deal with any of it. But we cannot do that.

We cannot simply shrug our shoulders and make sure we never feel sorry for anyone ever again. We must live life as best we can and remember those good times and those bad times and do our best to make them something that will not bring us down.
